Why I built this
I lost my father at seven, on Christmas Day. He was thirty-three.
People who knew him called him a hard worker, so I became one. Every extra hour felt like getting closer to him.
I went solo, worked even harder, and found that a drink could numb a weekend well enough to get through it. I told myself a story I believed all the way down: I am self-made.
From the outside, I was a man on his way up. On the inside, I was thirty pounds heavier, running on stress and almost no sleep, and missing seasons at home I'll never get back.
When my son turned seven, the age I was when my world went dark, I couldn't sleep. One night at three in the morning, I got up and started writing. That became the book. The book became this course: the tools I use every week, in the order I needed them.
I'm not teaching this from a stage. I run several businesses, mostly solo, and I'm a husband and a father. The calendar, the morning, the deal journal, the way I come home at night: I use all of it, every week.

Pit to Power, the book this course is built on. Every chapter is inside the course.
